In these modules we look at the principles of Tuina: the manipulation of Qi and Blood. This requires a 'qualitative touch'. Each day will start with the practice of a Daoyin series called: the 8 functions of Qi. These are 8 exercises aimed at: 'opening' and 'closing', 'ascending' and 'descending'; "gathering" and "dispersing"; going in and coming out. Practicing this series gives the opportunity to learn to integrate Yin and Yang in your body. Tonifying and sedating are also expressions of Yin and Yang. Concepts like Yin Yang; Qi and Blood, get the opportunity to be incorporated in the touch, which can become of such a high quality that the terminology: 'Shou' (hands) 'Dao' (arrive) 'Bing' (disease) 'Chu' (remove). Or “Miao” (Miraculous) “Shou” (Hands) “Hui” (Return) “Chun” (Spring) regain the meaning they deserve.
